Arts Facilitation - Introductory Course
Duration: 1 Academic year
Course hours: Tuesdays 10-5 Places: 6 maximum Application deadline: 1st of June 2022 Course Introduction: This course has been developed in response to the growing need for Artists to work with communities, in collaboration with museums and galleries and provide activities within schools and colleges to increase creative and practical skills, bring people together and help with the general feeling of well being in others. You will gain confidence in your creative practice, build your creative tool kit, diversify your skills, gain confidence and experience in the delivery and development of workshops and be introduced to the supportive and professional organisations that will help in establishing you as a freelance practitioner. Course leaders Hannelore Smith and Rebecca Tough will support your creative development alongside a number of visiting lecturers and guest speakers working professionally within the creative industries. The sessions will be divided between Arts Practice in the morning and professional, contextual training in the afternoon. Components will include: Arts Practice, Facilitators Toolkit, Project Delivery, Creative Engagement and Practical and Professional support.
