Responding creatively to the museum collection Postponed new dates TBC as soon as possible 27th April, 11th May, 18th May 2020 Mondays 10.30-12.30 Course cost: £50 (including materials) Sheringham Museum Join Artpocket for a series of fun workshops taking a creative response to to the fantastic collection of artifacts at Sheringham Museum. During this short course we will explore a range of printmaking techniques and make a series of artworks to take home. Week 1: All at Sea - Looking at the lifeboats and related sea going paraphernalia we will use the Gelli-plates to create a series of colourful layered prints that respond to shapes and texture of the objects within the collection. Week 2: Portraits - We will be taking a look at Sheringham's renowned photographer Olive Edis and create drypoint prints from her photographs of some of the local characters from the early 20th Century. Week 3: Shop Window - Drawing from the eclectic Ellis - Pratt collection, we will use viewfinders to draw interesting compositions and make a series of responses using mono print techniques Please complete a booking form after payment
