Our Story
Artpocket was founded in 2011 to make art more accessible and provide creative education beyond the boundaries of traditional systems. From its early days delivering workshops across Norfolk, Artpocket has grown into a well-equipped city-centre studio offering a vibrant programme of short and year-long courses, including the popular Portfolio programmes.
We support adult learners at all stages of their creative journey, with many progressing to further study or returning as visiting tutors—helping to nurture a strong and supportive creative community.
Our tutors are practising artists and experienced educators who bring professional insight and a passion for teaching. As a collective, they have exhibited locally and internationally and regularly collaborate on projects and exhibitions.
In 2018, Artpocket was recognised for its contribution to the arts with a nomination in the Visual Arts category of the Norfolk Arts Awards.
In 2025, Artpocket became part of Sawtooth Studios Ltd—an independent studio with a bold interdisciplinary vision. Sawtooth brings together visual art, photography, new writing, theatre, and performance under one roof, fostering collaboration and the creation of new work across disciplines. As a division of Sawtooth, Artpocket continues to deliver high-quality creative education while contributing to a wider artistic ecosystem designed to connect, inspire, and facilitate the production of new work.
artpocket were recognised for their valid and varied contribution to the Arts in Norfolk by receiving a nomination for the Visual Arts category of the 2018 Norfolk Arts Awards.
