Tutor: Megan Jones​

Do you have existing knowledge of drafting a basic bodice block? In this workshop, you will develop your pattern drafting skill under the guidance of costume designer, Megan Jones.

You will learn how to alter a pattern through moving darts to change the shape of your bodice pattern as well as altering necklines, drafting sleeves and sizing up and down. 

All students will go home with an adapted paper pattern that can be reused and altered to create further garments later alongside the knowledge to confidently alter future patterns at home. Some students may get to the point of creating a toile of their pattern. 

This workshop will allow students to work to their own pace.
Due to the smaller group numbers, students will benefit from guided support on an individual basis.
Bring with you a basic bodice block pattern you have made to fit yourself previously or a commercial pattern for a top that you would like to alter.
