Join artpocket for a 4 day creative 'retreat'.  This is an opportunity to take a moment to switch off from the pulls and pressures of daily life and embark on a creative journey using the coast as our inspiration.  

Throughout the course we will explore the immediate environment surrounding Cromer Art Space.
We will look to artists that have used the coast as inspiration, and we will employ some of the techniques they are working with. 
Over the 4 days you will produce a collection of creative outcomes, develop your skills in 2D and 3D techniques exploring disciplines such as drawing, printmaking, textiles and 3D.
This course is not about achieving a final outcomes but instead invites you to be curious, playful and experimental and build a portfolio of approaches and responses that you can further develop when you leave.

You will enjoy an informal and friendly environment that is inclusive of all levels, abilities and backgrounds.
There is no requirement to be 'arty' or have any prior knowledge of making art, however if you are already a creator, maker or artist you are warmly welcome to join the course to build on your existing knowledge and skills toolkit.

Please note: this is a non-residential retreat, however if you live a distance away, there are loads of lovely hotels, campsites and guesthouses in Cromer to choose from.
Cromer Artspace is an amazing location with views out to the sea, we will be working both from the Art Deco building and outside in the elements. The 1920s building can be cooler than the outside temperature and sometimes damp, therefore it is advised that you wrap up warm and wear clothing and footwear suitable for walking on the beach. 
For those that struggle with mobility, there is a ramp up to the Cromer Artspace, we do however plan to go onto the beach for some activities, please do make us aware of any issues you may have with getting down onto the beach when booking.
