Developing your textile skills
29th April - 27th May 2025 5 weeks,Tuesdays 18.30-20.30pm Full Course Cost: £150.00 (including basic materials) One Session £30 Tutor: Fiona Muller This course further introduces textiles techniques and processes used by textiles artists, designers and crafters, and is delivered as a series of workshops building up a range of samples that can be transformed into a final textile piece. No experience is necessary - Whether you are a textile fan or just want to try your hand at something new everyone is welcome! All you need is an enthusiasm to experiment and have a go! 1. Fabric painting - experimenting with paint and water to create different effects on fabric - using stencils 2. Using felt making techniques - wet felt and needle felting to create a small bag/purse 3. Using linocut technique to create a repeat pattern block. 4. Printing a piece of fabric using your lino block and devising a pattern to make a bag/ skirt with the fabric 5. Surface pattern techniques - Using embroidery, applique, resist dyeing to decorate objects Booking is direct with Fiona [email protected] We have opened up the opportunity to just do one off sessions to learn specific skills at £30 per session, (subject to availability) If you would like to take advantage of this please contact Fiona. Introduction to textiles

It is a relaxed environment where you get to have a go without the pressure to produce a finished object No experience is necessary - Whether you are a textile fan or just want to try your hand at something new everyone is welcome! Explore techniques in print, stitch and other textiles processes whilst working to a theme. This course is suitable for all levels and abilities. |
